YOUR COMMENTS:
WFC will notice that the difference between Premiership and 1st div. is less
than expected. The strength of English football is that you have a handful
of top teams and about 50 good sides who can beat the top teams on a good
day. The way back is more difficult than anyone can believe. WFC has the experience
and the tradition that can help on a difficult day BUT next season WFC will
be the target for any opposition. They will be the favourite top team that
everyone wish to beat. They will not be the underdog, everyone will expect
them at least to reach the play-offs. It is a brand new situation for everyone
and it may be difficult to carry.
Big question – it depends on ATTITUDE (did not say)
Cautious optimism abounds.......

10 is far too many
We carry way too many players, we are not ManU; Should have had a clearout
three years ago
A couple need to be offloaded and youngsters/inexperience players need to
start getting more regular shouts. Damo and Jupp need some games, while Euell
& Cort can fuck off to Spurs as far as I care. New signings wouldn’t really
be necessary.
let the rotten wood sink
The figure of 10 was one suggested by BRG
at the end of last season. So far, about that number has actually gone. A
lot of people - even those who said "yes" - weren't too keen on a mass pruning.

YOUR COMMENTS:
For free transfers if it has to be (Euell,
Cort and Gayle)
Earle to go cause he needs a zimmer frame
Mirroring the "Tosser
Of The Year" award. Cort's gone, how far will Euell be behind? Ironically,
this award was finalised the day after Carl Leaburn scored a good header against
Bristol City in a friendly....

These have a lot more to give (Andersen, Andresen,
Pedersen)
JH further cements his hero status at WFC. The one word
I will say about Maggie's huge support in this bit is "bugger", though after
he left nobody voted for him.

YOUR
COMMENTS:
Can it get any worse?
Yes, if there is a clear out performed. If not you will carry on with a bunch
of people who believe that they are the best. They have already fired one manager
- if necessary they will undermine the ground for another. They have played
Premier football and feels that it is unfair that they are representing a
1st div team. The same attitude that brought the club down will continue to
undermine the work of the new management team. Weeds should be exterminated
by the roots !!! I still believe that organisation and discipline is the key
to success in football.
A lot depends on whether we have cunts like cort in the team. You often have
a crack at REMBE, but I think he’d be good for us next season….it’ll be more
his level of playing….and now he has what he wanted (not EO) he should keep
in line more
Unlikely. If they don't respect WFC, it doesn't matter which division WFC
is in. You don't hear Lawrie Sanchez or Harry Bassett condemning us because
WFC is no longer in the top flight. I think if the players really enjoying
playing their football for WFC, it would not matter to them whether we are
in the top league or the Nationwide. The thing is if they really do not want
to play in the Nationwide, they would have sweated blood for WFC in the last
few crucial games. The fact that they didn't means WFC is beyond their care.
After they get a shock of losing the first 3 games - yep
I am not Herr Dr. Freud (don't know)
Again, cautious optimism abounds. Generally,
people think that providing the like of Euell and Cort sling their hooks,
we'll be OK.

No - I don't live in England

now we are in Div. 1 but it is still £100 so its the Crazy Gang membership

Yes - if my husband pays for it
Now my wife has joined (these two comments ARE related)
Yeah. 38 quid for one match ticket. See, I am rich. (note:
person who wrote this has a ST yet lives in Hong Kong)
Never had one despite going to 20+ matches a season – don’t know any other
fans either – being a Dons Fan you get used to solitude and loneliness. I
guess if I wasn’t always on my own I would get one.
No, because I hate the journey to Shitehurst (1 hr 45 mins on the train/tube)
and about 6 changes
One of the highest ST possessions ever is mirrored
by the response here.

YOUR COMMENTS:
Some will not go, whereas some new people will go because of
the novelty
No, but I expect that for many opposition teams their highest home attendance
figure will be against us
I reckon our away turnout will not be worse or better than last year. Most
home game regulars cannot afford to go to away games anyway. I believe it
will be our home attendance which will "suffer". On the other hand, we may
have fewer "supporters" but we end up having a greater proportion of genuine
supporters.
It’s difficult. A good number of people do buy ST’s to be guaranteed of watching
their team come and play at Selhurst when their fixture comes around. Some
of these might realise that they enjoy coming to every game, and will develop
a like/love of the club, meaning they want to come back. Some won’t. There
is also a number of people that will come along more often now the club is
in need, and there are more games to come to. Away support may be down a bit,
but for the missing out on Arse/Man U/Celsi, local clubs like Fulham and QPR
will always bring a large following.
Yes - can't be worse
Not such a positive outlook,
though this may be proved wrong if the promising turnouts at the pre-seasons
are anything to go by.

Additional
Comments about next season :
We MUST get promoted, nothing else will do!
I see it as a season of hope with the chance to build a new chapter and exorcise
the ghosts of the past.
I’m looking forward to it – the more I think about it the more I think this
will do the club good in the long run
Clear out the moaners and dead wood, bring on the young guns - Davis, Wilmott,
Francis, Hawkins, Gray, Angryman and a healthy Ainsworth
The most important in the club’s history since 1986/87. Everyone who claims
to be a Don should buy a season ticket.
Obviously the excitement of playing in a new division and the fact that we
won’t storm it will sink in shortly after it starts. That will bring things
down a bit. I think it will be very difficult next season, if we don’t do
well many more players will leave than now. But having said that…..I’m quite
looking forward to it…….the thing I’ll hate is Saturday night….and we won’t
even get to see the goals!!
Div One is bloody hard. Are we as a club up for it ?
In a way, looking forward to it. It won’t be easy, but nothing worth doing
ever is.
It’s going to be a long tough season, (my missus is not going to like zero
weekends off from start to finish.)
Whoever says Stockport is easy to get to is fucking lying. Just check Railtrack,
it's 3 ½ hours!! And I bet it will cost something like 99 quid to get a return
ticket. Bollocks! The club should subside away trips.
I believe the season placings will be know by September 30th. 20+ points top
two assured, 15-20 points playoff's assured, 10-15 will need to work hard
for playoffs, yet unlikely, 10 or less-season the youth or prepare for sad
times. (All of this is obviously tempered by injuries)
Up for it like you wouldn’t believe, very confident too
