Apparently Allen has always been rated as a good manager and I suppose his impending appointment at Leicester confirms that. Great to see him leaving, therefore - lets hope it really demoralises the players and the new manager fucks up big time. Relegation anyone??
Lest we forget the comments he apparently made to some Colchester fans at a motorway service station:
"some time ago a post appeared on a Colchester board saying that a group of their fans had met allen in a motorway service sattion on the way back from an away game, possibly franchise at blackpool, and he had told them how much he hated the franchise, they were a complete joke and a shambles and he was only there for the money as winkie was throwing the stuff at him and he'd be stupid to refuse. Looks like it may have had more than a shred of truth in it now."
